A leading consulting firm in Texas is looking for an experienced professional to configure Workday Absence. The role involves significant collaboration with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to establish and implement scalable solutions. Qualified candidates should have over 5 years of relevant experience in configuring Workday and a strong understanding of payroll operations and absence policies.
Job Description
Establish configuration and implementation of Workday Absence across the U.S. and Puerto Rico
Capture configuration needs through current system and state analysis
Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable solutions
Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate absence data for non-union and union populations
Ensure compliance with labor laws, union CBA requirements, company policies, and data governance standards
Provide post-go-live support and optimization recommendations
Configure Workday business processes for absence workflows
Configure absence types such as Paid Time Off (PTO), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Jury Duty, etc.
Customize absence plans based on tenure, employment type, state, exemption status and union CBA requirements
Implement eligibility rules for absence plans based on location, job profile, etc.
Partner on integration builds for time-off balance management (limited sites) inbound and outbound
Collaborate on requirement gathering and solutioning of Workday Absence
Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to ensure seamless data flows across modules and support integration
