Job summary

Flock is seeking software engineers to scale drone connectivity by integrating radio hardware with Linux-based stacks. You will write and maintain software across user space and drivers using C, C++, and Python, while evaluating link performance in real-world flight tests.

You will collaborate with RF, embedded, and cloud teams to optimize rate adaptation and to validate performance using hardware-in-the-loop tests in our labs.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in CS/CE/EE or a related technical field.
• Solid programming skills in C, C++, and Python with Linux experience.
• Experience with wireless tech, networking concepts, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate radio hardware into drone connectivity across Wi-Fi and cellular stacks.
• Write, test, and maintain software in Linux user space and kernel drivers using C/C++/Python.
• Develop routines to log and analyze wireless metrics (RSSI, SNR, packet loss).
• Collaborate with RF, embedded, and cloud teams to design rate adaptation for dynamic flight environments.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing to validate aerial performance.
