Job summary

Austin Peay State University is seeking a Regional College Access Coordinator who works remotely and travels extensively across West Tennessee. The role focuses on delivering Advise TN programs, building partnerships, and supporting school steering committees to improve college readiness and outcomes.

Requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), strong communication and program-management skills, and willingness to travel evenings and overnights as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, higher education, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of postsecondary education requirements, options, application procedures, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
• Successfully pass Federal and State background screening.
• Evening and occasional overnight travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver college access programming to students in Advise TN partner schools.
• Design engaging college access lessons and activities for use in school settings.
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics across the West Tennessee region.
• Develop partnerships with community leaders and school staff to support initiatives.
• Assist in development and moderation of steering committees at partner high schools.
• Support committee meetings with agendas and materials and ensure participation.
