Job summary

ChemTreat is seeking a Technical Consultant to support the sales cycle as a trusted technical advisor. You will own technical solutioning for pretreatment applications, diagnose system performance, and influence long-term customer outcomes in field settings across the USA.

The role offers autonomy in the field, with significant travel (up to 75%), and collaboration with sales and account teams to deliver impactful water treatment solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with a major water treatment company and demonstrated technical expertise in pretreatment applications (membrane filtration, ion exchange and reverse osmosis).
• Experience supporting industrial water or wastewater treatment processes.
• Ability to advise customers, influence solutions, and provide technical recommendations in a customer-facing environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales teams to design and recommend water treatment solutions across pretreatment applications.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, diagnosing system performance and shaping optimization strategies.
• Support proposal development and contribute technical expertise during the sales cycle.
• Conduct site audits to assess water treatment processes and recommend improvements.
• Deliver technical training to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Represent ChemTreat at customer meetings and industry events as a technical advisor and solution partner.
