Thurston County's Environmental Health Division seeks an Environmental Health Program Manager to oversee Water Quality, Onsite Septic Operations & Maintenance, and Solid/Hazardous Waste programs in Olympia. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or related science and state licensure requirement.
• Minimum five years of professional environmental work with budget and program planning experience.
• Must be registered as a Sanitarian within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret water quality and waste regulations to ensure compliance.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improvements in programs.
• Develop and update program workplans aligned with strategic goals.
• Mentor and evaluate line supervisors to maintain effective teams.
• Prepare stakeholder reports and present findings to agencies and the public.
• Collaborate with local govt and community groups on water management.
• Plan budgets and review financials; develop emergency response plans.
