Job summary

Velsera is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead the Seven Bridges Platform. You will steer architecture, delivery, and production operations across India, Serbia, and other regions, balancing hands-on technical work with people leadership in a fast-growing setting.

You will establish a three-year technical vision, drive governance, and partner with security and compliance to ensure auditable, scalable software across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering, with leadership of multi-team organizations.
• Platform architecture ownership at scale with multi-tenant isolation and service decomposition.
• Domain depth in scientific or biomedical data platforms.
• Delivery inside regulatory boundaries (FedRAMP, HIPAA, ISO 13485, or GxP).
• Reliability-focused delivery engineering: SLOs, error budgets, CI/CD with policy-as-code.
• Production AI/LLM capability in a governed, auditable regime.
• Track record of setting technical vision for a platform and delivering it.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision for the Seven Bridges Platform over the next three years and translate it into architecture and roadmap.
• Own architecture decisions, design reviews, multi-tenant isolation, and complexity reduction across the service estate.
• Maintain delivery governance with infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and auditable rollout in a regulated environment.
• Own reliability with SLOs and error budgets, cross-site on-call design, and architectural improvements from incidents.
• Ship governed AI within product scope, ensuring governance and measurement alongside Risk & Compliance.
• Build and sustain a high-performing team with the right specialist skills to realize the roadmap.
