Job summary

Burq is seeking a VP of Finance to scale finance and operations into a strategic engine. You will partner with the founders to drive planning, capital allocation, pricing, and growth across finance, revenue, and G&A.

This is a fully remote role open to candidates in the United States and Canada, with a strong emphasis on ownership and impact. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, deliver real-time cash visibility, and build a world-class FP&A function.

Qualifications

• 10+ years across finance and operations with senior leadership experience.
• Hands-on player-coach who builds models and forecasts before delegation.
• Led growth fundraising with modeling, diligence, and investor/board management.
• Command of marketplace / usage-based accounting and revenue recognition.
• Built and scaled FP&A and finance operations into a robust engine.
• Strong command of unit economics and revenue strategy (pricing, packaging).
• Operational breadth across HR, Legal, and broader G&A.
• CPA or equivalent experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and a rolling financial model linked to results.
• Deliver real-time burn, runway, and cash visibility with reporting.
• Set capital-allocation discipline and measure ROI across initiatives.
• Produce board-grade financial reporting, analysis, and hygiene.
• Shape revenue strategy end-to-end, including pricing and monetization.
• Scale accounting operations and ensure controls, audit readiness.
• Lead investor and board communications and cap table planning.
• Partner with founders on operational decisions and strategic growth.
