Ryan Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator Level III to deliver advanced infrastructure support for enterprise VMware environments, maintain on-prem hardware, and drive automation with Terraform and Ansible. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and CI/CD integration.

Candidates must reside in TX, GA, NC, or FL and have 5+ years of experience with vSphere 7/8, ESXi, vCenter, and networking. The position is 100% remote with W-2 employment and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant systems administration or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on VMware administration experience with vSphere 7/8.
• Experience with HP/Dell server hardware in VMware environments.
• Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Ansible for configuration management.
• VS Code and GitHub/GitLab usage.
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies.
• Experience with AWS.
• Networking knowledge: routing, DNS, firewalls.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support on-premises VMware infrastructure (vSphere 7/8, ESXi, vCenter).
• Support VMware networking: VDS, DRS, SSO.
• Configure and troubleshoot HP and Dell server hardware.
• Develop infrastructure automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Use VS Code and GitHub/GitLab for infra development and version control.
• Support CI/CD processes to improve infra management.
• Assist with AWS cloud integration and operations.
• Troubleshoot networking issues (routing, DNS, firewalls).
• Collaborate with teams to maintain availability and performance.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting across server, storage, and virtualization.
