Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Database Engineering, or Distributed Systems.
• Proven expertise in horizontally scaling MySQL deployments using Vitess.
• Hands-on experience with database sharding, topology management, and query routing.
• Proficiency in managing and deploying large-scale database clusters within Kubernetes.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Vitess-based solutions to horizontally scale MySQL deployments across the enterprise.
• Manage database sharding, topology, and query routing to optimize performance for large-scale applications.
• Deploy and orchestrate Vitess components within Kubernetes environments to ensure seamless scalability.
• Monitor and tune database performance to maintain system reliability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to define database standards, schema designs, and scaling requirements.
