McClatchy is seeking a versatile visual journalist to capture timely photo and video stories across digital platforms. You will develop original visual narratives, pitch ideas, and respond quickly to breaking news while maintaining ethical standards and strong captions.

You’ll work with Nikon gear and Adobe Creative Suite, leveraging analytics to guide coverage and grow readership, with flexibility to work remotely as part of a collaborative team.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, photojournalism or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years of experience in digital media or related fields
• Strong photography and videography skills with excellent news judgment
• Experience with digital audience engagement, analytics and SEO
• Technical proficiency with camera, lighting and audio equipment, editing software (Adobe suite), CMS and Google Workspace or MS Office
