Job summary

VA Claims Insider is seeking a reliable Video Editor to transform raw footage into polished YouTube and social content. This 100% remote, 1099 contractor role reports to the Marketing Manager and involves editing long- and short-form videos for multiple channels.

You will collaborate with marketing and content teams to meet project goals, manage rough footage, and deliver compelling videos that reflect the brand narrative.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a video editor or post-production editor.
• Strong portfolio or editing reel showing YouTube and short-form work.
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Familiarity with After Effects, Opus Clip, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of editing, pacing, storytelling, color correction, and audio cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Upload and publish videos to the VA Claims Insider YouTube channel.
• Add titles, descriptions, thumbnails, links, playlists, captions, end screens, and cards.
• Schedule videos for publication and ensure correct publishing details.
• Review uploads for video, audio, thumbnail, and formatting accuracy.
• Monitor videos for processing, copyright, captions, and issues.
• Respond to YouTube comments using approved templates and brand guidance.
• Edit interview, educational, testimonial, livestream, and B-roll content into polished videos.
• Produce 4–5 video projects per week of varying lengths.
