Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Clinical EHR Informatics Specialist to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) OCI Rapid Informatics Surge program. You will help recover EHR performance and sustain post go-live operations in a complex healthcare environment.

You will lead the refinement of clinical information systems, develop CDS content, and coordinate across clinical care and IT teams to optimize workflows. Remote, nationwide travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree required.
• 5+ years of clinical informatics or health IT experience.
• Knowledge of Veteran's Health Administration workflows.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, CDS refinement, and workflow optimization.
• Direct experience with Oracle Health EHR deployments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Characterize and refine clinical processes while developing, implementing, and refining clinical decision support systems.
• Lead procurement, customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems.
• Assess information and knowledge-based needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
• Source data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and business processes.
• Use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations.
• Act as an expert role model to promote IT adoption across diverse healthcare settings.
• Conduct workflow mapping, assessment, redesign, and implementation support for clinical workflows affected by Oracle Health deployments.
• Evaluate and refine clinical content to confirm optimal system performance.
• Perform risk identification and mitigation consistent with patient safety standards.
• Identify and correct data anomalies and provide advanced analytics for post go-live operations.
• Develop educational materials and peer-support to accelerate adoption.
