Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc is seeking a Senior Engineer to investigate and reconstruct vehicular collisions, analyze traffic control plans, and prepare demonstrative diagrams for litigation support. The role emphasizes documenting evidence, preparing reports, and presenting findings to clients in transportation-related cases.

The ideal candidate holds a S. Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, and 2–10+ years of experience, with preference for a Master’s or PhD.

Qualifications

• Professional/industry working experience in traffic engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent judgment; strong analytical skills.
• Ability to provide expert witness testimony.
• Must be sharp, focused, and alert during site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Reconstruct vehicular collisions using analysis, CAE-based tools, and test data.
• Provide collision scene evidence analysis and forensic mapping of collision sites and vehicles.
• Analyze single and multiple vehicle collisions, intersection traffic signal analysis, etc.
• Prepare reports and present findings to clients.
• Prepare demonstrative diagrams and charts and provide analysis of causes.
• Document and preserve evidence, and provide expert testimony in litigation.
• Inspect roadways, traffic signals, and traffic control devices.
