Eliassen Group is seeking a VDI Engineer to architect, build, and optimize a global Citrix-based VDI in Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on scalability, reliability, and user experience with just-in-time desktop provisioning for a worldwide user base.

The job is contract-to-hire and salary is paid as a W2 hourly rate with a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and life insurance. Remote work is supported.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in enterprise environments.
• Strong Azure VDI experience including Compute, Files, NetApp Files and Monitor.
• Experience with automation/orchestration tools (PowerShell, Terraform, Azure Automation, ARM/Bicep).

Aufgaben

• Architect and deploy Citrix VDI services in Azure to support global end user computing needs.
• Design, implement, and maintain dynamic scaling and automation for just-in-time desktop provisioning.
• Engineer and optimize Azure resources across compute, networking, storage, and identity.
• Conduct benchmark testing of VDI images and tune performance for user experience.
• Collaborate with security, network, and support teams to meet compliance and availability.
• Evaluate and pilot Azure VDI platforms to compare performance and cost.
• Monitor and improve the VDI environment for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, deployments, and baselines.
• Stay current with industry best practices and cloud VDI trends.
