Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Senior UX Design Manager to lead strategy, experience, and visual design for our digital web experiences. You will oversee UX/UI across key customer journeys and partner with Product, Technology, Marketing, Content, Analytics, and Customer Experience teams.

Require 10+ years in digital product design, 3+ years of people leadership, and a proven track record building design systems. You will drive user-centered decisions, ensure accessibility, and align designs with brand

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Design or related field.
10+ years of experience in digital product design, UX design, or digital experience design.
3+ years of people leadership, including managing design teams.
Experience leading design strategy for large-scale consumer-facing websites or digital platforms.
Strong knowledge of UX research, IA, interaction design, visual design, and accessibility.
Experience building and governing design systems for digital experiences.
Ability to influence and collaborate across a matrixed organization.
Experience using analytics and customer insights to inform decisions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma); Agile experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead vision, strategy, and execution of UX and visual design for the company's digital experiences.
Guide design decisions using qualitative research, insights, analytics, and usability testing.
Develop and mentor a team of UX and visual designers.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Content, Analytics, Research, and CX teams.
Establish design standards, design systems, accessibility, and governance across web properties.
Influence roadmap priorities by balancing user needs with business and technical goals.
Oversee end-to-end design processes from concept to final visuals and implementation support.
Champion experimentation and optimization through A/B testing.
Ensure alignment with brand and drive usability and conversion.
