Job summary

Onward Search is seeking a UX/UI Designer, Level 3 for a temporary, remote-in-region opportunity. You will lead user-centered design for web and mobile K-12 curriculum experiences, translating research and user needs into accessible, effective solutions with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years of UX/product design experience, with a strong portfolio and proficiency in Figma, Axure, or Penpot. Remote within the U.S. is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HCI, Visual Communication, Digital Design, Product Design, Human Centered Design, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in product development, UX design, product design, creative, or marketing.
• Portfolio showing design work for web and mobile and collaboration across product functions.
• Advanced knowledge of UX wireframing, visual design, and prototyping software (Figma/Axure/Penpot).
• Experience with responsive design, accessibility guidelines, and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Apply human-centered design methods across cross-functional product teams.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, concepts, and interactive prototypes.
• Translate user research, metrics, and feedback into tangible product experiences.
• Present design recommendations and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
• Contribute accessible, research-informed patterns to the design system.
