Job summary

Onward Search is seeking an experienced UX Designer for a fully remote contract role in the digital experience space. You will own the UX process for product initiatives within a collaborative design team, balancing user-centered design with business needs.

You'll bring 5+ years of UX or product design experience, a strong portfolio, and expert proficiency with Figma to deliver use cases, flows, wireframes, and prototypes that guide implementation and impact product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional UX, interaction, or product design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating original design work and outcomes.
• Strong proficiency designing and prototyping in Figma.
• Experience taking products from problem definition through implementation.
• Solid understanding of usability and user-centered design principles.

Responsibilities

• Own the UX process for assigned product initiatives from planning and concept development through implementation.
• Utilize user-centered design methodologies to create intuitive experiences that balance business requirements, customer insights, research findings, and user behavior.
• Lead UX efforts across projects of varying scale and complexity with minimal supervision.
• Produce comprehensive UX deliverables including use cases, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction designs, and detailed design specifications.
• Develop and explore multiple solutions to complex design problems, balancing near-term roadmap needs with longer-term product considerations.
