Job summary

Pixel Movement is seeking a senior UX designer to own the user experience across a mobile strategy game built for real-money play. You will translate complex systems into clear player flows, partner with design, product, and engineering, and mentor a junior UX designer.

This fully remote US-based role offers flexible hours within core 9-5 ET, opportunities to influence gameplay systems, and a collaborative, fast‑paced studio culture focused on iteration and player-first UX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX design experience, including at least 1–2 years working on mobile-first games or applications.
• Strong ability to translate complex systems into clear, accessible user flows and interactions.
• Enthusiastic about tackling unique design challenges such as asynchronous play, cash-based rewards, and integrated platform architecture.
• Practical experience in gaming combined with transaction-heavy systems (e.g., casino, betting, iGaming, or fintech).
• Proactive, organised, and confident backing up design decisions with logic and data.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, plus familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the user experience vision across the game client and supporting platform features.
• Conduct a thorough audit of the current player journey and develop a navigation structure from installation through gameplay to cash-out.
• Collaborate with Game Design, Product, and UI Art teams in Figma and in-engine builds.
• Simplify complex interactions and transitions between platform, matches, and payout.
• Mentor and develop a junior UX designer, providing feedback and growth plans.
• Integrate user research and A/B testing results to guide UX decisions.
• Champion a player-first mindset and drive cross-team alignment on UX best practices.
