Job summary

Gateway Rehab Center is seeking a full-time Utilization Review Liaison to support access to care by coordinating authorizations and reviews. This remote position requires collaboration with clinical teams and insurers to ensure proper treatment coverage and reimbursement from your home office.

Ideal candidates will bring UR knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with ASAM criteria.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with drug and alcohol treatment and managed care processes.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• RN license PA preferred; UR/rehabilitation experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Gather clinical information for concurrent and retrospective reviews.
• Complete review processes with payors for treatment authorization.
• Collaborate with UR and clinical teams to maintain workflow.
• Enter authorization information into the patient database.
• Communicate authorization status updates to staff.
• Monitor coverage expirations and notify staff accordingly.
• Investigate denied claims and assist in payment recovery.
• Attend managed care provider meetings as needed.
