Elevance Health is seeking an Utilization Management Representative I to handle calls and referral processing in a flexible remote work setup.

You will verify eligibility, authorize initial steps, and coordinate with nurses and providers while delivering excellent customer service. The role supports training sessions and occasional in-person requirements in Indianapolis, with hybrid options as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service or call-center experience.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls and post service claims work.
• Determine contract and benefit eligibility; authorize admissions, precertification, and post service requests.
• Refer cases requiring clinical review to a Nurse reviewer.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, providers and in-house departments.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relations and coordinate with various functions to resolve requests promptly.
