Job summary

Osmosis seeks physician editors to help build the best learning platform in medical education. This fully remote, contract-based position focuses on reviewing and revising USMLE-style Step 1 and Step 2 practice questions and topic summaries.

You will work with clinicians to ensure accuracy, clarity, and inclusivity, collaborating with medical illustrators to highlight key concepts and disease processes. A minimum of 10 hours per week is required.

Qualifications

• Terminal medical degree (MD or DO) required.
• USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 exams completed (required).
• Board certification in a US-approved specialty or completion of at least two years of ACGME-accredited residency (required).
• Prior medical question-writing experience is a plus.
• Experience in formal medical education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and revise existing and new questions and topic summaries to conform to product guidelines.
• Ensure items and topics are accurate, clinically realistic and appropriately scoped for USMLE exams.
• Work with the medical illustration team to create or collect images and figures.
• Attend team meetings and regular check-ins with the writing team.
• Identify and complete other tasks as needed.
