Coeur Mining, Inc. is seeking a Director of Site Finance for US operations, based in Chicago with a remote US work option and travel as required.

The role supervises site accounting, financial close, planning, and reporting across US mining sites, partnering with senior leaders to drive performance and controls. The candidate will lead site controllers, manage life-of-mine modeling, budgets, and strategic plans, and coordinate with corporate finance on audits and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with significant time in operations finance or controller roles within the mining industry.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and leading accounting/finance teams.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, internal controls (SOX), and mining-specific accounting (e.g., inventory, reclamation, revenue recognition).
• Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders, build relationships with site/operational teams, communicate complex financial information, and influence decision-making.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Blackline, and other financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the site accounting departments, including consolidated accounting, financial reporting, and tax functions at the site level.
• Lead the monthly financial close process for mining operations, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Direct, oversee, and provide leadership to site controllers across all US operations, including performance management and standardization of processes.
• Oversee site-level financial planning processes, including life-of-mine modeling, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
• Develop, improve, and standardize site-level financial reporting, financial planning, supply chain, and accounting systems/processes.
• Analyze KPIs for operations and project groups and communicate results to management.
• Prepare and review financial analysis, variance explanations, and materials for site GMs, ELT, and Board of Directors.
• Assist with integration of processes, systems, and data across sites and corporate.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in GAAP; review journal entries, reconciliations, and cash disbursements.
• Prepare and/or review audit schedules and work with external auditors to resolve questions.
• Assist with preparing 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other regulatory reports.
• Support AP and supply chain to maintain working capital levels.
• Coordinate production and compilation of reports for management review.
• Provide ongoing assistance to internal stakeholders on Oracle matters.
• Lead and participate in special projects, process improvements, and financial analysis.
• Champion data governance and documentation as a single source of truth.
