Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification: CPC and CCS (or CCS-P) credentials required
• Experience: Electronic Health Record experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Abstracts information from service documentation and assigns CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS codes per guidelines.
• Identifies and communicates deficiencies impacting the billing process.
• Completes encounters in coding work queue or reports in a timely manner.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and security requirements and adheres to coding policies.
