Job summary

Grand Canyon Education is seeking a University Admissions Counselor to oversee the Mesa, AZ territory in a work-from-home capacity. You will counsel prospective students and their families, host events, and drive inquiry generation for our academic programs.

You will collaborate with community colleges, manage a busy territory, travel as needed, and represent Grand Canyon Education and Grand Canyon University with integrity and passion, helping students begin their campus journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required.
• No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report.
• Outstanding time management and organization skills; able to juggle multiple priorities while traveling.
• Clear communication and engaging presentation skills; comfortable presenting to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivation and drive to succeed; takes ownership of time with students.
• High emotional intelligence; ability to relate to diverse student populations and families.
• Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, willingness to travel; ability to use personal vehicle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families.
• Host and implement event/activity plans to build program awareness within your territory.
• Drive inquiry generation through fairs, school visits, campus events and presentations.
• Engage community colleges and staff to develop relationships and maximize outreach.
• Support the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment and campus arrival.
