Job summary

Impleo is seeking a Video Game Developer to build and maintain game projects using Unity and Godot. You’ll collaborate with designers and artists to translate concepts into polished gameplay systems and features from prototype to delivery.

You will own features, write clean code, and optimize for performance across remote US-based teams during US business hours. Strong C# and Godot experience are essential, with a portfolio showcasing shipped games or significant projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing games in Unity and Godot.
• Strong C# proficiency with Unity.
• Experience with GDScript or C# in Godot.
• Shipped games or strong portfolio projects.
• Understanding of game architecture: state machines, component systems, scene management, input handling.
• Ability to translate design requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience using Git and collaborative workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written English communication for technical discussions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain games using Unity (C#) and Godot (GDScript or C#).
• Write clean, maintainable code for stable builds.
• Translate design concepts and creative direction into playable mechanics and systems.
• Identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Document game systems and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with designers and artists and communicate blockers clearly.
