Job summary

HM Insurance Group is seeking students for the Spring 2027 Underwriting Undergraduate Internship. The program is part-time and remote and runs for 12 weeks starting February 1, 2027.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in underwriting, data analysis, and financial modeling within healthcare operations. Participants will work with underwriting professionals to learn evaluation of healthcare products, pricing strategies, and risk management, contributing to actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and internal/external stakeholders during planning and execution of tasks.
• Assist with day-to-day underwriting activities and data collection for analysis.
• Support analysis and reporting activities related to underwriting operations.
• Participate in projects and initiatives within the underwriting/finance/analytics areas.
• Contribute to research and proposals to support recommendations for action.
