Job summary

thatgamecompany, Inc. is seeking a talented UI Technical Designer to join our UI team. You will collaborate with art, design, and engineering to craft attractive, minimal interfaces and implement the final product in code.

The role demands strong UI art and design skills, and comfort prototyping interfaces from scratch while polishing existing work. This is a remote position in the US with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional UI Design and engineering experience.
• Strong Graphic Design skills (typography, color usage).
• Experience with minimal, clean aesthetics.
• Experience with Style Guides and art direction.
• Proficiency in C#, C++, or C for prototyping interfaces.
• Industry-standard tools: Illustrator, Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Work with UI team to develop intuitive interfaces for our games.
• Conceptualize new interfaces and features.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and animations for development.
• Polish existing interfaces to meet aesthetics and usability standards.
• Create prototypes and perform UX tests to validate ideas.
• Implement final UI in C++ with pixel-perfect accuracy.
• Collaborate across disciplines and advocate for usability.
