Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Tutor to assist students in meeting educational goals through direct tutoring and support, improving study skills and conceptual understanding.

The role may involve individual, group, virtual or in-person sessions, with emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving. Compliance with state and contract requirements is required, including credentials and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Teacher Credential Certification/ Licensure as required by state or contract.
• Degree in Education or relevant field as required by state or contract.
• Experience in tutoring, preferred.
• 2 years teaching experience, preferred.
• Experience or credential in Special Education, preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Tutor is responsible for assisting students in meeting their educational goals and aspirations through positive educational support and direct tutoring. The Tutor is also responsible for enhancing study skills and facilitating the understanding of educational concepts. Minimum Requirements
