Job summary

Amergis Mountain View, CA is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver individualized instruction and support students with diverse needs in a high school resource classroom.

You will develop IEP goals, collaborate with educators and families, monitor progress, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. This 10-month contract offers up to $50/hour for 33 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid California Teaching Credential required.
• Special Education Certification preferred.
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred.
• Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
