Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a designer to create truss placement diagrams and engineered drawings using MiTek software for submittals and production. You will communicate with customers and internal teams to align on designs, schedules, and revisions, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Experience using MiTek software is required.
Ability to read and understand architectural and structural plans.
Strong math skills in geometry and trigonometry.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Create truss placement diagrams and engineered drawings for submittals and production.
Communicate design details and schedules with internal and external customers via phone and email.
Ensure blueprint drawings are accurate and timely, then optimize and release for production.
Collaborate within the MiTek software platform and support team workloads when needed.
