Aspire General Insurance Company, a California-based insurer, is seeking a Trial Attorney to lead personal auto litigation across the state with a primarily remote setup and periodic travel to the Costa Mesa office. You will handle cases from inception through appeal when needed, partnering with Claims to develop and execute case strategies.

Ideal candidates have a J.D., active California Bar status, and 5+ years of defense-litigation experience, including trials and depositions.

Competenze

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California and in good standing.
• 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably within insurance defense or personal auto litigation.
• Demonstrated experience with discovery, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures, insurance law, and trial advocacy.
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume litigation caseload.
• Strong written and verbal advocacy skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and litigation strategy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Claims professionals and other internal partners.

Mansioni

• Represent insured clients throughout all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution and trial, including evaluating liability, damages, exposure, and litigation strategy.
• Develop and execute legal strategies in partnership with Claims while protecting the interests of our insureds.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions and conduct oral arguments.
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate and develop cost-effective resolution strategies.
• Provide timely litigation updates, risk assessments, and exposure analysis to Claims.
• Advise Claims and other internal stakeholders on litigation and legal matters.
• Maintain strong working relationships with insured clients, Claims partners, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance to paralegals, legal assistants, and law clerks as needed.
• Represent the company when appropriate in small claims matters, court hearings, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.
