Tiello seeks a Traveling Structural Steel Erection Superintendent to manage large-scale erection projects across airports, data centers, hospitals, and warehouses.

You will supervise field operations, ensure safety, and coordinate with project teams while traveling to sites in the Southeast region. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and blueprint-reading skills.

Qualificações

• At least 5 years of Superintendent experience in structural steel erection.
• Experience with OSHA 30-hour training within last 5 years.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and contracts.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and control assigned projects, overseeing field operations, safety, productivity, schedule, quality, and coordination with subs and suppliers.
• Lead project team with project manager and ensure alignment with schedule and budget.
• Organize daily work schedules for crews to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain accurate weekly paperwork and records.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, fabricators, and internal teams.

Job Title:

Traveling Structural Steel Erection Superintendent

Location:

Remote/Travel; Southeast

Compensation:

$38.00 - $44.00 per hour + OT paid for hours worked over 40 weekly (averages 15 hours of OT weekly)

Company Overview:

Tiello has partnered with a well-established Southeast Structural Steel Erector who is looking to add a Traveling Superintendent to their team, who has experience managing large-scale structural steel erection projects.

Role Summary:

As a Superintendent, you will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality of work, and sub-contractor and supplier coordination. You will work in conjunction with the project manager to lead the project team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Familiar with and comply with AISC standards & requirements of a certified erector for steel erection..


• Familiar with and comply with AWS, PCI, JCI, and SDI regulations..


• Achieve satisfactory results for AISC & PCI Internal Audits annually..


• Organize daily work schedules for various crews for maximum efficiency so that projects are completed on schedule, on budget, and safely..


• Training in basic first aid & CPR and must maintain up to date as required..


• Work well with general contractors, sub-contractors, fabricators, and fellow employees..


• Keep accurate and detailed job records and maintain weekly paperwork as required..
  
• Familiar with company policies and procedures and ensures compliance from employees and subcontractors under their supervision..


• Enforce company’s safety policies.


• Safety standards knowledge and enforcement.


• Ability to remain calm, focused and effective under time pressure situations.


• Self-starter with the ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills.


• Ability to read blueprints.


• Possess an understanding of building plans and specifications.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• At least 5 years of Superintendent experience within the structural steel erection industry.


• Familiar with OSHA rules and regulations and have completed the 30-hour training certificate (currently within 5 years).


• Strong understanding of erection processes, shop workflow, and project lifecycle.


• Working knowledge of TEKLA EPM software.


• Blue Beam/MS Office Products.


• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and contracts.


• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.


• Eligibility to work in the U.S..
