Job summary

Intertek Alchemy is seeking a Consultant to join our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team. This remote position requires extensive travel to client locations (80%+).

You will partner with food manufacturers to develop, implement, and strengthen world-class food safety and quality systems that support regulatory compliance and GFSI certification readiness. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping clients build audit-defensible systems aligned to SQF, BRCGS, and FSSC 22000

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in food safety, QA, auditing, or consulting in the food industry.
• Deep knowledge of USDA-FSIS and FDA regulatory requirements.
• Experience with GFSI standards SQF, BRCGS, and/or FSSC 22000.
• PCQI and HACCP certifications.
• Audits under at least 1 GFSI scheme.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on consulting for SQF, BRCGS, and FSSC 22000 to ensure audit readiness.
• Lead development and updates of HACCP/Prerequisite programs and regulatory docs.
• Deliver training on Preventive Controls for Human Food and HACCP.
• Build and maintain client relationships, manage travel and documentation.
• Support business development and thought leadership activities.
