Job summary

The State of Michigan's Grand Region is seeking a Transportation Planner 9-P11 to support planning activities, coordinate with the RTP unit, MPOs, RPAs, and public agencies, and contribute to project development and data analysis.

This role involves GIS support, travel demand modeling, and collaboration with MDOT Central Office, Grand Region, and Transportation Service Center staff; remote work options may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in planning or related field.
• Experience in transportation planning preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with MDOT, MPOs, and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support Regional Transportation Planning (RTP) unit activities.
• Represent the department with MPOs, RPAs, public meetings and other agencies.
• Provide GIS support and contribute to Travel Demand Models (TDM) development.
