Job summary

Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP. is seeking an Associate Attorney for our Commercial Transportation Practice Group.

The role allows remote work from Pennsylvania and involves handling a diverse caseload in trucking and transportation litigation, under the supervision of senior attorneys. The candidate will have 3–7 years of litigation experience, a PA bar license in good standing (NY bar a plus), and strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in the commercial transportation/trucking industry.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active and good standing PA bar license; NY Bar license a plus.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct case evaluations and develop litigation strategy; advise clients on risk and exposure.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions; prepare trial briefs; oversee discovery and expert witnesses.
• Support filing of lawsuits to recover funds from responsible third parties.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop sound case strategies.
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings and trials.
• Build and maintain client relationships with timely updates on case status and outcomes.
• Coordinate with adjusters, recovery specialists, and outside counsel to pursue recoveries efficiently.
• Stay current on changes in the law.
