Employment Type: Temporary, Project-Based (25–35 hours/week)
Contract: 1 year with full possible extension
Hourly Pay: $45 (W2)

About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Payer Enrollment Transition Coordinator to support a large-scale Tax ID change project for a major hospital system and medical group. This role is critical in ensuring seamless payer enrollment updates and avoiding revenue interruptions during a transition period.

You’ll manage credentialing databases, payer communication, application submission, and coordination across commercial and government payers. A key responsibility will be overseeing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice), and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) updates related to Tax ID changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain accurate payer information for all hospital TINs and medical group name changes in the credentialing database.

  • Manage updates and records of all TIN and name changes.

  • Complete and submit payer applications, meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Track application statuses to ensure successful completion and enrollment.

  • Maintain documentation of effective dates and payer-assigned ID numbers.

  • Execute re-credentialing and re-validation processes per payer timelines.

  • Submit timely updates for additions, changes, or terminations.

  • Verify demographic and practice information with contracted payers.

  • Lead the Tax ID transition project, coordinating with payers to update EDI, ERA, and EFT records.

  • Maintain organized digital files for all enrollment activities.

  • Communicate proactively with the VP of Revenue Cycle about delays or issues.

  • Review and distribute required enrollment documents to ensure completeness.

  • Coordinate changes in the Epic system with IT&S.

  • Collaborate with Payer Contracting, Revenue Cycle, and Revenue Management teams.

  • Manage changes to hospital licenses, DEA registrations, and liability insurance documentation.

  • Support internal and external audits related to payer enrollment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree with at least 3 years of payer enrollment experience.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years in managed care, medical staff/credentialing, or a similar healthcare-related environment.

  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

    • Strong interpersonal skills for effective internal and external collaboration.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; Adobe Acrobat Professional and credentialing software .

    • High attention to detail with strong analytical and research skills.

    • Proven ability to follow through and achieve results.

    • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

    • Solid understanding of the credentialing and payer enrollment process.
