A financial services firm is seeking a Trade Operations Engineer to manage their trading production environment and support Portfolio Managers and Traders. This junior-mid level position requires experience in finance, with responsibilities including monitoring complex systems, building dashboards, and automation using Python. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments and possess strong skills in Linux and Bash, ensuring system reliability and addressing operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a Linux based trading environment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex trading systems.
• Build and monitor Grafana dashboards.
• Assist in scripting and automation in Python.
• Collaborate closely with PMs and Traders to ensure system reliability.
• Act as a primary contact with exchanges and brokers.
• Use Bash and SSH for server access and operational tasks.

Skills

Experience in Trade ops, Monitoring, or support roles within trading / finance

Skilled with Linux Shell, Bash or Powershell

Skilled with Git Workflows

Understanding of networking

Exposure to Grafana dashboards

Understanding of Python

Solid documentation skills and highly organised
