The State of Michigan is seeking a Regulation Agent to join the Tobacco Enforcement team within the Discovery and Tax Enforcement Division at the Tax Compliance Bureau. The role is fully remote for Michigan residents, with required field and occasional on-site work as part of investigations.

Salary ranges are provided per level, and education requires a bachelor's degree. Candidates should be prepared for travel within Michigan and to participate in investigations alongside partner agencies.

Formación

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
• Qualifying professional experience is only considered post-bachelor's degree.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate licensees for compliance with the Tobacco Products Tax Act (TPTA), Master Settlement Agreement (MSA), Revenue Act 122 of 1941, and related rules.
• Analyze cases related to non-compliant taxpayers to identify tax avoidance and evasion.
• Conduct routine on-site field visits of facilities seeking licensure and participate in investigations with state authorities.
