Job summary

Landpoint is seeking a Research Technician to support licensed surveyors with title and land-records research. You will perform online research of deeds, easements, and ROW, assemble line lists, secure landowner access, and maintain organized deliverables for survey use.

The role serves as a research resource to PMs and RPLS/PLS teams, handling requests, verifying records, and ensuring project files are complete and ready for survey work.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in a research technician or title research role.
  • Ability to research deeds, easements, and ROW.
  • Understanding of land-related documents such as deeds, easements, rights-of-way, leases.
  • Proficient at pulling city plats, county records, DOT plats via online sources.
  • Experience contacting landowners to obtain survey permission.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate request and tracking logs.
  • Strong organizational skills and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct online and public-records research of deeds, easements, and ROW to support survey projects.
  • Locate, retrieve, and organize source documents, incl. plats and county records.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of retrieved records; escalate ambiguities or missing documents.
