First American's Title Agency division is seeking a Title Examiner to perform residential title examinations, analyze records, and prepare initial title commitments. This role supports underwriting guidance and works remotely with some Massachusetts-based requirements.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2 years of title examination experience in MA, and familiarity with legal terms. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Performs title examination and examines the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, primarily residential.
• Abstracts and analyzes records to determine ownership and legal restrictions.
• Resolves issues such as missing or contradictory information in title documentation.
• Prepares initial title commitment documentation based on guidelines.
• Prepares and reviews reports for accuracy.
• May provide underwriting interpretation within guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
