Job summary

RTX is seeking a Titanium and Nickel Mill Commodity Manager to develop and execute global sourcing strategies for titanium and nickel mill products, ensuring supply continuity, cost optimization, and risk mitigation across a complex supplier base.

The leader will partner with engineering, operations, quality and program teams, report to the Associate Director Commodity Management for Hard Alloys, travel up to 25%, and work within a highly matrixed organization. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine global commodity strategies for titanium and nickel mill products.
• Lead strategic supplier relationships including contract development and LTAs.
• Monitor global markets, capacity, geopolitics, and industry trends affecting pricing and availability.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives including value engineering and competitive bidding.
• Collaborate with engineering and materials teams to support design decisions and new product introductions.
• Support capacity planning, demand forecasting, and long-range procurement strategies.
• Lead risk mitigation activities including dual sourcing and inventory strategies.
• Manage internal stakeholders with clear communication and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with policies, export controls, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Support budgeting, cost modeling and leadership presentations.
• Travel required up to 25%.
