Job summary

ValorMynd, a Valor Healthcare company, partners with Longwood University to provide virtual, individual mental health support to student-athletes. We seek 1099 licensed clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMHC, LMFT or equivalent) to deliver short-term, solution-focused therapy with risk screening and care coordination.

The clinician will conduct assessments, monitor progress, and refer when needed, using CBT and, if appropriate, DBT. This remote role requires VA licensure and follows HIPAA/FERPA protocols.

Qualifications

• Master's level clinician with LCSW/LPC/LMHC/LMFT or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Current, independent license in Virginia.
• Minimum of two years conducting therapy as a licensed clinician.
• Experience providing individual behavioral health therapy.
• Experience with CBT; DBT when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, individual behavioral health counseling via secure virtual video or telephone.
• Deliver brief, goal-focused, solution-oriented therapy tailored to student-athletes.
• Conduct initial screenings, risk assessments, and establish treatment goals.
• Utilize CBT; DBT when clinically appropriate.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation within 24 hours of encounters.
• Refer to higher levels of care when needed and coordinate with campus resources.
