Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking Texas-certified teachers to join our Live Learning Platform as remote tutors. You’ll bring classroom expertise to a flexible, online environment, set your own schedule, and earn competitive rates while making a real impact on students’ lives from home.

You’ll work 1-on-1 with students, with up to $40/hour and payments issued twice weekly. The platform matches you with students, offers AI-assisted support, and handles logistics so you can focus on effective teaching.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate (TEA) and certificate number may be verified during application.
• Deep knowledge in your certified subject area(s) with ability to connect K-12 TEKS to student needs.
• Experience in a Texas classroom setting with understanding of TEKS standards.
• Skilled at diagnosing gaps, adjusting pacing and employing multiple methods.
• Able to explain concepts through multiple approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Strong communication and engaging teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests as available.
