Job summary

Varsity Tutors in Texas is seeking Texas-certified teachers to join our Live Learning Platform as remote tutors. You’ll bring classroom expertise to a flexible, home-based tutoring role, set your own schedule, and earn competitive rates, with sessions billed hourly.

You’ll be paid up to $40 per hour, with payments issued twice per week. Candidates should have TEA certificate, deep subject matter knowledge, TEKS-aligned instruction, and strong communication to engage students one-on-one online.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Texas Teaching Certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
• Deep knowledge in certified subject areas with ability to connect K-12 concepts to student needs across grade levels.
• Experience teaching in a Texas classroom with TEKS standards and how to apply them in one-on-one instruction.
• Skilled at diagnosing student gaps, adjusting pacing and explaining concepts through multiple methods.
