Job summary

CHEP seeks a Territory Route Representative to manage all CHEP assets within the assigned field territory, including Chicago area. You will visit nonparticipating distributors and recyclers to recover CHEP assets and build valuable relationships.

You will monitor asset flow, track recoveries, and coordinate with Logistics and Asset Protection to ensure timely collections. A minimum 2 years in field driving or related roles and proficiency with Excel/Word are required.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years in field driving for route sales, operations, or customer service.
• Excellent selling and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage business expenses and maintain a home office.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs and obtain a DOT Medical card.

Responsibilities

• Visit and build relationships with nonparticipating distributors and pallet recyclers to recover CHEP assets.
• Monitor asset flow and negotiate returns to the CHEP network.
• Track and recover all CHEP pallets within the territory.
• Develop new customer relationships and promote CHEP programs.
• Maintain contact with local pallet recyclers and report illegal asset activity.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Low Volume Recovery fleets, and Asset Protection.
• Use company tools (vehicle, laptop, databases) to monitor and collect assets.
