Job description

As a MAPD - Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Insurance Telesales Agent, your primary responsibility is to engage with potential clients, primarily seniors and Medicare-eligible individuals, via outbound calls to educate them about MAPD plans and facilitate their enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Outbound Sales Calls : Initiate calls to prospective clients, providing information on MAPD plans and addressing their healthcare coverage needs.
  • Needs Assessment : Conduct thorough needs analyses to understand clients' healthcare requirements and recommend suitable MAPD plans.
  • Plan Education : Clearly explain the benefits, coverage options, and costs associated with MAPD plans, ensuring clients make informed decisions.
  • Enrollment Assistance : Guide clients through the enrollment process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Compliance Adherence : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CMS regulations and ensure all sales activities comply with federal and state guidelines.
  • Performance Metrics : Meet or exceed sales targets, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction goals as established by the organization.

Qualifications :

  • Licensing : Possession of a valid state health insurance license ( 2-15 or 2-40 in Florida) and completion of the annual AHIP certification.
  • Experience : Previous experience in telesales, particularly within the insurance or healthcare sector, is preferred.
  • Skills : Strong communication and active listening skills, proficiency with CRM and telephony systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a remote or office-based environment.

Compensation Overview :

  • Base Hourly Rate : $18–$23, depends on experience and performance.
  • Commission Structure : Earn commissions on each policy sold, with rates varying by product line.
  • Performance Bonuses : Eligible for quarterly bonuses based on individual achievements.
  • Annual Incentives : Top-performing agents may qualify for an annual bonus, recognizing exceptional sales performance.
