Job summary

EK Health Services Inc. is hiring a Part-Time Telephonic Nurse Case Manager (RN) for our Case Management Team. The role involves assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating service options to help injured workers receive timely, cost-effective medical care and to speed return to work.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 20–25 hours per week, 9:00 am–5:30 pm PST. CA RN license in good standing is required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred; Workers' Compensation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 3-5 years clinical RN experience outside of school.
• Valid CA RN license in good standing with no restrictions.
• Valid state-appropriate RN license in good standing with no restrictions.
• Experience in Case Management; Workers' Compensation preferred but not required.
• Home Health Care or Occupational Health experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and Email.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with medical providers, employers and injured workers.
• Perform a complete nursing evaluation to determine patient needs.
• Review and evaluate medical correspondence, reports, & treatment plan history.
• Evaluate clinical status and research treatment options as warranted.
• Coordinate with claims examiners and update file status.
• Arrange transportation services when necessary.
• Monitor plan of care and make adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate information between all parties involved.
