Job summary

QuickMD offers fully virtual medical practice where physicians set their own visit schedules and work from anywhere. This independent contractor role focuses on addiction care and telehealth across numerous states, with compensation per consult and potential hourly pay improvements as visit times shorten.

The position requires active multi-state medical licensure, DEA registration, and the ability to commit 15 hours weekly across at least four days.

Qualifications

• Active medical license in at least five states and willingness to obtain additional licenses (QuickMD covers costs).
• Experience in telehealth or high-volume in-person practice.
• Ability to work at least 15 hours weekly across four days, with schedules submitted one week in advance.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to clinical excellence.
• Comfort with telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided).
• Active DEA registration and applicable state CSL, where required.
• Genuine interest in expanding access to care, particularly in underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional virtual care, including patient assessments, medical history reviews, and appropriate treatment.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and build therapeutic doctor-patient relationships.
• Order and interpret lab tests as needed to support high-quality treatment decisions.
• Prescribe medications and provide guidance on proper use (QuickMD does not prescribe controlled substances, except buprenorphine for opioid use disorder treatment).
• Collaborate with fellow physicians, nurse practitioners, experienced nurses, and dedicated support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation to support continuity of care.
• Stay current with medical advancements, telehealth innovation, and best practices.
