Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry. The role is 100% virtual with a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule, focusing on hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs.

Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is desirable. Candidates must be licensed in Texas and reside in TX, WA, FL, LA or GA.

Qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist with medical license in Texas.
• Experience with telepsychiatry or emergency/inpatient psychiatry preferred.
• Strong ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in complex medical/psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.
• Develop and lead interdisciplinary teams in patient management.
• Provide tele-psychiatry services on a 100% virtual basis.
