Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Tele-ICU Registered Nurse to provide remote critical care support across multiple facilities. You will monitor patients with advanced technology, assess via video and EMR, and coordinate timely interventions with bedside teams and intensivists.

You will participate in rounds, communicate findings promptly, and follow ICU protocols to improve outcomes. Strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive patient advocacy mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in appropriate state; active license required.
• 2 years of RN experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN/CCRN-E preferred and within 1 year.
• Familiarity with tele-ICU technology and electronic health records.
• Ability to follow ICU protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critically ill patients remotely using telemedicine technology and monitoring systems.
• Assess patient conditions via video technology and electronic medical records.
• Identify trends, recognize clinical deterioration, and communicate findings promptly to bedside teams.
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, advanced practice providers, and bedside nursing staff.
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
• Enter and verify verbal and telephone orders in accordance with organizational policies.
• Utilize Critical Care Medicine protocols to support patient care and improve outcomes.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust the plan of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
